Chad Kelly will be held out of this game. I believe that the Alouettes will continue to rest their key players, including Davis Alexander. Spring King QB Luis Perez should dress this week for the Argos.

I want to see more of Tucker Horn. I think he has a lot of potential and the right tools, but needed more time to learn the Canadian game.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2026 3:16 pm Chad Kelly will be held out of this game. I have two tickets I can't use for Friday's game that I am offering to whoever would like them. Tried to donate them back to the Argos, but I guess it is too close to game day.
Tickets are in Sec. 223, 6th row, and are on the aisle. Right at the 50 yd line behind Argos bench.
If anyone on the forum would like them, please send me a DM. Oh, and like the old Speedy Muffler commercial..... "No charge".

The last time the Argos had a hot dog night was 1880 for 1cent hot dog night. A young Thomas Crapper was in attendance. Many mistakenly credit him with the invention of the flush toilet. He did however advance the new technology with significant improvements as a result of witnessing what could only be described as Hell on Earth as the toilets could not keep up with the ungodly number of hot dogs being consumed.
Crapper improved the S-bend trap in 1880. The new U-bend plumbing trap was a significant improvement on the "S" as it could not jam, and unlike the S-bend, it did not have a tendency to dry out and did not need an overflow.[9] The BBC nominated the S-bend as one of the 50 Things That (have) Made the Modern Economy.
What new inventions or technological improvements will arise out of the depths of the Bmo field toilets tomorrow night. Only time will tell.

I've seen some crazy roster machinations over the years, but this might be the craziest. In order to rest a bunch of guys, the following have been placed on the practice roster:
Amos, Grant, Pickett, Harelimana, Lemon, Coxie, Toia, Hendrix.
Unless something has changed in the rules or something sneaky is being done, these guys will take home a LOT less this week than they'd get normally. I don't know the current pay rate for PR but I'm sure it is well below the minimum salary for roster players, and none of these are minimum-salary guys.
Maybe the league implemented a new rule prohibiting teams from loading up the injured list with uninjured players? Maybe these guys are considered "healthy scratches" and are allowed to get their regular pay despite being officially on the PR? I haven't looked to see how other teams are handling this, but it sure looks weird to see our MODP and our MOSTP and our best receiver, among others, sitting on the PR.

All I know is that I absolutely abhor "meaningless games."paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2026 8:54 pm I've seen some crazy roster machinations over the years, but this might be the craziest. In order to rest a bunch of guys, the following have been placed on the practice roster:

I will say that with Nick Arbuckle not playing on Friday, that is probably an indication that the Argos really don't know what Chad Kelly's status will be next week.

Can't other teams try 'funny stuff' with practice roster players?

Any player on a PR can be signed by another team as long as he is immediately added to the active roster. Presumably all these Argos knew about this move and agreed that they will not jump ship, but it's still weird and I'd still like to know if they are actually sacrificing a game cheque in favour of a PR pay stipend.

If I were the Bombers Damonte Coxie would be on a plane right now.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 9:59 amAny player on a PR can be signed by another team as long as he is immediately added to the active roster. My other comment would be with low expectations for the game it would still be good for the D to dominate.
Hoping the weather is good. I look forward to seeing some good outfits in the stands.
