Count me among those who came away unimpressed with Horn. Other than the one great pass to Miller and a couple of decent completions, I saw nothing that made me see him as a future starter. It's only one game and he didn’t have the best personnel around him, but it was meh to me.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 10:31 pmMontreal played more starters and the Argos went deeper into their roster, including at the QB position. Tucker Horn looked decent and Dymere Miller looked great.Unplayable wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 8:26 pm The Argos doing their best to make Montreal feel over confident in case the Argos do go to the eastern final.
Someone should point out to Luke Willson that the words "mean nothing game" apply to the standings. Of course individual players are trying to stand out in the hope of being back next year. So far I haven't seen anyone on the Argos side look impressive.

Miller looked really good. It will very difficult to keep him off the roster next year but who does he replace? Could it be Grant?
Horn looked average. He made a great pass to Miller on the team's first offensive play but did little to impress after that. Of course it should be noted he was playing with a good number of backups. It has been suggested that Perez lacks mobility and though he only got to play for 6 and a half minutes, he didn't look very mobile.
It was great to see Mital get his one thousand yards. Four Argo receivers over one thousand yards---that is very impressive.

I got a chuckle from an article on CFL.CA this week....whoever wrote it talked only about how Montreal was dressing backups, suggesting the Argos were going with a starting lineup.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 10:31 pmMontreal played more starters and the Argos went deeper into their roster, including at the QB position. I counted three starters on Argo defence: Kongbo, Caesar and Franklin.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2026 9:52 amI got a chuckle from an article on CFL.CA this week....whoever wrote it talked only about how Montreal was dressing backups, suggesting the Argos were going with a starting lineup.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 10:31 pmMontreal played more starters and the Argos went deeper into their roster, including at the QB position. I think Franklin came in as a 2nd half injury replacement.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2026 10:31 amI counted three starters on Argo defence: Kongbo, Caesar and Franklin.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2026 9:52 amI got a chuckle from an article on CFL.CA this week....whoever wrote it talked only about how Montreal was dressing backups, suggesting the Argos were going with a starting lineup.

I agree with all of this. His numbers look decent, but it was mostly on one play. He’s the only QB under contract next year, so they better make Kelly and Arbuckle top priorities and bring in someone new to develop behind them.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 11:02 pm Count me among those who came away unimpressed with Horn. Some of these players were on promotional spots like Amos and Pickett at the Leafs game. Perhaps they were compensated enough or maybe even more than a regular game day check with the marketing money allocated for each team.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 9:59 amAny player on a PR can be signed by another team as long as he is immediately added to the active roster. Presumably all these Argos knew about this move and agreed that they will not jump ship, but it's still weird and I'd still like to know if they are actually sacrificing a game cheque in favour of a PR pay stipend.

Boy, did that ever show. I can't recall a time when we got steam-rolled by another team's running game as much as last night.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2026 10:31 amI counted three starters on Argo defence: Kongbo, Caesar and Franklin.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2026 9:52 amI got a chuckle from an article on CFL.CA this week....whoever wrote it talked only about how Montreal was dressing backups, suggesting the Argos were going with a starting lineup.
