Pull out the lawn chairs and relax with no rush or traffic to deal with. Cook some burgers, have some drinks, run the old Jays bases or throw the football if my nephew comes, etc.
I'm with you on that! The tailgating scene is growing, and a terrific experience. I'd gladly pay $75 or something to reserve a good parking spot. That'd remove stress on the drive down especially if you're hoping to set up next to another friend. Some day we'll have an ideal setup. This year isn't it :-)

I don’t know about that! I like the $18 early bird special. True, there’s only so many tree spots and you need to show up with a friend. I’m not a big fan of seeing people reserve spots TBH. Aside from a bit of a walk to the washroom (casino or horse palace) it’s a decent setup. I love relaxing under the trees. The West side even has a good sized grass area to throw a ball. We set up last game beside the “conductor”. Was that you?

Better option, if you can..... TTC subway to Dufferin and then Dufferin bus (or as my son calls it, the loser cruiser) to Princess Gates. I have done it and it is not too bad a way to go.
I'm not sure how this aids anyone coming from Halton or Hamilton.
Umm.... drive to Kipling or Islington stations, both of which are not far off the QEW.

Apparently, the TTC is doing track work for the King street car line, so the Dufferin & King intersection will be closed until the end of October. The Dufferin bus will be diverted along Queen to Shaw and then back over to King via Joe Shuster Way. Not the end of the world if you take that route, but something to be aware of.

Someone coming from Burlington might as well just finish the drive to BMO and park.

I will see what traffic is like that day, but given that there is also a Blue Jays game, I expect to do Islington-Bathurst rather than Gardiner and finding a place to park.

Well here's one thing that won't interfere with future Argos games - the Honda Indy is moving to Markham. It says it's a multi-year arrangement but I bet the World Cup forced it out.

For the 3:00 game on Sept. 13, I noticed that Metrolinx is going to run a couple of extra trains on the Milton line, so that might be an option for those coming from the west. That might work. Milton line to Union, arriving 1:57 PM, then take GO from there to Exhibition.

https://www.gotransit.com/en/the-future ... nstruction
If you’re travelling from the Mississauga area: On Saturday, Sept. 13 only, we’re adding two Milton line trains:

NEW! 12:54 p.m. train departing Milton GO, making all stops to Union Station, arriving at 1:57 p.m.
NEW! 6:29 p.m. train departing Union Station, making all stops to Milton GO, arriving at 7:39 p.m.
Please use Lisgar, Meadowvale, Streetsville, Erindale, Cooksville or Dixie GO stations to connect to Union Station. If you are travelling to Exhibition GO, please connect to Lakeshore West special train service at Union Station.
