Hendrix and John are available but Shepley, who did not practise today, is questionable. That presents potentially a huge test for Dankwah or whomever is the replacement.
I would like to see Dankwah play. With the possible free agents we have along the line, I think it would actually be a good thing to sit Shepley this week

If John returns at S, I could see Rush Reimer start in Shepley's spot.

It's nice seeing Gauthier getting the start at field cornerback.

It’s not a real start. It’s roster manipulation on the ratio.

It doesn't benefit you guys in anyway. You already have the 7 true Canadian starters, plus I'm assuming Pickett is the 8th as the naturalized Canadian.

The roster rules are confusing and opaque. For this game, there are four designated (backup) Americans: McFadden, Slywka, Johnson and Grant. McFadden (not Pickett) is also listed as the "designated national," if I'm reading the depth chart correctly. There presumably is some reason this makes sense but the league has never (or at least not recently) explained how this works. You are correct that even without Gauthier, the Argos have the seven NAT starters they need: two receivers, three o-linemen, one d-lineman and one LB. I'm betting McFadden will play virtually every snap at CB despite being listed as backup on the chart. Perhaps they will sub in Gauthier for him on downs where they use all Americans on the d-line?

Gauthier has been playing some as an extra DB in certain packages (at least he was in the Ottawa game) - and I don't think it was to replace the starting corner.
The CFL roster rules with designated Americans and snaps counts and other such bull$hite is enough to make me puke - a total joke that shows the type of clowns in charge of the league with their Americans first attitudes towards rosters and Canadian rules. Maybe next year when they shrink the field size they can just go ahead and shrink the number of Canadians on rosters as well. Looking forward to all of Stewie & MLSE's wonderful and so needed "chanages"- after all, the games this year have been so boring and low scoring.

Who is ready for another late nighter? I can't miss it. I am a little nervous that the short week, travel back and forth is going to catch up with them. Hopefully not. Go Argos!

I had trouble finding the link to the TSN1050 radio broadcast of last week's game - couldn't find a link anywhere on tsn1050.ca that wasn't just world cup audio.
Mike Hogan says that today they'll post the link to the stream on Twitter, and it'll be on 1050 as soon as soccer is over.

Heaven forbid TSN make it simple. Does TSN 1050 actually do anything? Hogan and Grant and the team probably do it all, and 1050 provide the platform. Away games they are just watching the TV broadcast and calling it that way correct? How many Argo games will actually be broadcast on the radio station live this year?
