We don't know if Lalji or Dunk has the right information but if Ceresna did accept less money to go to the Esks, it raises some questions. Perhaps Ceresna just prefers to be in Edmonton and the money was of less importance. But having spent time in Edmonton, I find that hard to believe.
Family considerations may play a factor. I believe Ceresna's spouse is from Edmonton.
I've heard that as well. Also, Edmonton is a very good city to live in. Or at least it was when I lived there 30-plus years ago, and I doubt it has gotten appreciably worse, apart from traffic, since then. Summers there are great. And the cost of housing is substantially lower than Toronto's.
My visits have been 'in and out' for several Argo road games so I don't really know. I know downtown Edmonton doesn't have a great reputation for safety.

Yes and to further your point, Toronto has a reputation for being costly and downright dysfunctional. Finding a place to live at a reasonable price is impossible, which is an issue for a lot of players.
It takes forever to move around the city, making family life difficult. The roads are bad, transit is bad and we can't even build a train that works.
CFL players do not make millions upon millions of dollars, so these things factor in.

Stoked to have Arbuckle back in the fold! Very reliable back up and now either re-sign Scott or maybe Dukes...or another guy who's good a short yardage!

Not surprised about Nield. I thought he might break out in '24 but he regressed.
Nield has signed in Saskatchewan, which also has a deep receiving corps. It will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets there.

Glen Suitor said on "Sports Cage" that Nield is an 800-1,000 yard receiver if given the opportunity. That was after the 10 minute long discussion about Suits Beer League Hockey skills,

With the $400,000 increase in the cap and the money saved on the salaries of Ceresna, Smith, Methie and Ormolade, I am little surprised the team couldn't have signed Brinkman or one of the high profile FAs that have been on the market.

I'd be interested to know what Arbuckles's contract came in at.

Doubtless it'd be performance/playtime bonus heavy.

So if we've got several "extra" hundred thousand $, and we've seen a lot of departures... You'd reckon we have a few more significant signings still to come...
Adeleke? Amos?...
