I love that Grant is back! I know he was injured much of last year, and even if he's lost a step (jury is still out)he's a heck of a returner!
I agree, and I would also argue that last year’s kick return schemes and personnel didn’t seem up to the level of recent seasons. This is surely a Pinball move all the way.

We have signed kicker Matt Ammendola

Screenshot 2026-02-06 171024.png
This is puzzling. An American PK who struggled in the NFL. Is Liram retiring?
I suspect Ammendola will be a camp leg.
Remember Donald De La Haye the famous YouTuber who thought he was a pro kicker? Poor Amendola lost out to him for a roster spot on the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL because the league thought De La Haye's fame would translate into profit. Well, that team no longer exists & Deestroying is long out of football.

I think that Grant and Logan will make quite the kick return duo with each able to fill in at their alternative positions at wide receiver and running back to give Miller and company more weapons in which to diversify their offense.

I think it's unlikely we will dress both guys at the same time, unless one of them (presumably Logan) wins a position in the starting offence. With four designated INTs, I think we will use no more than one at receiver/back/returner, with the other three on defence. That allows for heavy d-line rotation and solid ST cover and block guys.

IMO, Logan has shown more overall RB skills than McMahon, and could fill a similar change of pace back role like when they used Adeboboye & McMahon to supplement Carey. And Grant can also do some receiver duty as well - a deep or YAC threat for certain plays. Nice to have versatile offensive weapons, rather than guys who are just returners only and make no offence contributions.
Now they need to find a big bruiser inside power back IMO.

Other than a number of agreements from last week being made official, what has been most noteworthy about this first day of free agency from an Argos perspective is that they have added international receiver Andre Miller from Ottawa, who looked good to me in limited action the past couple years, while RB Peny Boone signed with the Riders after spending much of 2025 on the Argos' PR.

Regarding Boone, he also was on the Argos Exclusive Negotiation List at one time as well.

I really wanted to see Boone in game action, but it wasn't meant to be.

It wasn’t meant to be because the HC whose name escapes me at the moment refused to give this promising back a single carry, despite the fact the Argos had the worst running attack in the league. So typical of the guy’s stubborn and arbitrary coaching style.

So Hamilton has signed Gittens Is the team worried about spending money or is the fact the team is out of town for the first few month really having an effect?
