....having Chad Kelly back will also make all current and future receivers better. Their numbers will all go up, just like the O-Line will all grade out better.
I believe that Wayne re-signed recently with Houston in the NFL.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 12:03 pm Do the Argos also have some past Canadians kicking around NFL (Wayne comes to mind at receiver). Its time to repatriate these folks.
I highly doubt there are any O-lineman - at all - this draft, who would grade out better right out of college ball than any of Shepley, Doxtater, Dankwah and especially Hunter; maybe a pure OG type (like Crabins' 3 time all-Canadian A. Diouf) could challenge for starting time right away, but that is iffy perhaps. There's no guarantee either that a draftable O-lineman this year is even going to be able to pass Vandal or Coakes or Bosse as depth / back-up types. So unless the scouts are damn certain they are getting a stud / soon starter, there is pretty well zero need now to go with more O-lineman; can always do that next year's draft anyhow. Receiver, D-line, safety, RB = could easily, IMO, eat up the first 6 picks, or all of them.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 9:33 amI agree re the need for receivers and d-linemen, and the lack of need for LBs. But I strongly disagree re o-line. Among our NAT o-linemen, only Nicastro is truly guaranteed to be an above-average starter. Hunter is a big question mark based on how last season went, and the rest -- Doxtater, Shepley, Dankwah, Coakes, Bosse and Vandal -- are unproven. Bosse looked like a bust, and Vandal regressed big-time, last season. IMO if there are potential o-line starters available, drafting them would be smarter than taking long shots at diamonds in the rough at those other positions.OV Argo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 10:50 pm Receiver may be a key draft spot for the Argos coming up; that and D-line (both a DE & DT - though either of Vilain or Shand showing up could change that dynamic); so use both top picks and even later round long-shots at diamonds in the rough types at both those position groups; please - no more O-Line or LB "depth" or back-up prospects are needed this draft. I'd also look at taking a safety prospect and there are some that should be available mid to late rounds
The Argos need to have a really good draft to replenish the quality and depth of Canadian talent that has departed the last couple of seasons.OV Argo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 2:00 pmI highly doubt there are any O-lineman - at all - this draft, who would grade out better right out of college ball than any of Shepley, Doxtater, Dankwah and especially Hunter; maybe a pure OG type (like Crabins' 3 time all-Canadian A. Referring to Amos as a "Double Turncoat", I wondered if the Late Great Gorilla Monsoon wrote that article.ARGO57 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 5:59 pm Gotta love that Amos guy, telling it like it is!!

Davis Alexander has beaked off to Kelly in the past, too.IssuesMcgee wrote: ↑Sun Feb 15, 2026 1:41 pm It could be a great year for the Toronto-Hamiltom rivalry. Kelly and Mitchell hate each other. We have players going from one team to the other and running their mouths. The East should be more competitive this year and that will only add fuel to the fire.
Looking forward to it.
