I seem to have e read this post once or twice before.
The same thing is true of this post. Such irony!
The ironing is delicious.

A CFL stats junkie could maybe do some research - the last 20 years or so - and find any CFL season long starting RB who has an average/ carry as weak as 4.1; OR - a starting, oft targeted receiver who has only caught 50% of the passes thrown his way. But maybe the stats lie or are meaningless? OR - maybe it's all Tre Ford's fault ? :?:
In 2011 Fred Reid had 181 carries, with an average of 4.2 yards per rush for Winnipeg.

In 2006 Josh Ranek had 85 carries (which led the team) with an average of 4.0 yards per rush for Hamilton.

In 2000 a player I've never heard of, George Jones, had 105 carries ( 8 less than team leader Cory Philpot), with an average of 3.9 yards per rush for Winnipeg, including a 98 yarder for a TD, according to Pro Football Archives.

Well, the Riders have trotted AJO for this 3rd season and he’s yet to have a 5 yard average per carry in any of those seasons. They seem to have been able to win despite that.

And I always thought you claimed to not be a stats guy? Only when it’s convenient = I guess?
Ouellette averaged 4.9 last year for a GC win team; in his Argos years he always averaged over 5 per carry and his CFL career mark is right at 5. This Rountree guy is at 4.1 this year for the Pussycats - bad as it gets for a regular starting CFL RB. That's like comparing (IMO) a QB who completes 45% of his passes to one who completes over 60.

You a closet Ticat or Scotty M fan ? Ford can get dumped all over but don't dare say anything about Scotty or his fave guys.
No, it’s your constant agenda of blaming of everyone other than your player that is annoying. Always calling every coach in the league clueless as if you know more. And I am not the only one that calls you out for your BS. A trip over to Riderfans will prove that.
I guess just like you've been laughed at here for your intolerant, insulting & know-it-all behavior towards other posters? Some posters said see ya rather than listen to your my way or the hi-way bull$hite ?

Just who is "my player" BTW? Tre Ford, who i've pointed out many times as a guy who has had struggles playing QB in the CFL and is not a proven starter who should be handed playing time ? "every coach in the league" eh? You clearly are a guy who buys the BS that all CFL coaches are inscrutable football geniuses, well just because i guess they got hired in the first place - especially when they have the type of resume your one way only thinking got sold on.

Can't recall that George Jones guy either.

But 2011 was Fred Reid's last CFL season and previously he had seasons with averages of 7, 6.8 & 6.6 yards per carry = outstanding

That was also towards Josh Ranek's last CFL days and he had seasons of 6.4 & 5.4 per carry before that.

Both finished with CFL career averages of over 5 per carry. IF they had rookie seasons like this stiff Rountree this year, i doubt they would have played much more.

We are heading into the biggest game of the season without knowing who our kicker will be, but fortunately there's an argument about George Jones to keep us distracted. Tammy Wynette anyone?

My guess is Lirim will be back, as we have not heard of them signing a replacement yet.

If the Argos win this one they will be in a good position going up against Ottawa in the next game.

They need to seize this opportunity because the next three after that are against Edmonton, Winnpeg and BC, which are all tossups.

I thought that Lirim was back? Did that change? First day of practice is today, so we should know soon.

Maybe why they haven't signed Allen.
