He's written about how NFL teams have been asking for tape on Elgersma. We will have to see what happens in the coming weeks.OV Argo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:33 pmj-ski wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:24 pm Danny Maciocia on Senecal in 2023:

Big deal - talk is cheap; and CFL GOBs love to pay lip-service to the notion of Canadian talent being important to them. Let's see Maciocia put his money where his mouth is on that one. Ever wonder why Hugo Richard bailed on the Als after one season on their PR and just after Maciocia took over (sure to accept a good job offer, but I'd bet that could have been postponed if he thought he would get a serious shot there) ?
You obviously have way more faith than me of the notion of CFL GOBs all of a sudden paying attention to Canadian trained QBs; I, OTOH, need real evidence from TC fields. Adam Sinagra with ZERO CFL shot after their Scouting Bureau had him in the top 20, spoke volumes - just a few years ago. The writing continues to be on the wall. Do you figure we will see prominent articles from 3 Down on all these very good U Sports QB talents leading up to the CFL draft? or will they and other CFL "reporters" be good boys and stay quiet with little to no questions on the issue ?
Anyway, I think everyone on this thread hopes that there will be more Canadian QBs in the CFL next season. Some of us may be over enthusiastic (like me) and others like OV Argo might be the most realistic. I too, and Sinagra, were disappointed he didn't get a chance. Anyway, we know at least two Canadian QBs will be playing in the CFL next year; Nathan Rourke and Tre Ford.

I guess he's a shoe-in to win that Cornish Award as best Canadian US college ball player.j-ski wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 6:39 pm Rourke named second-team All-Big Ten
