This is a lot of BS just to host what I presume will be soccer teams from countries most people in Toronto have never heard of at BMO.
All of us should rent out our homes for those six weeks to Europeans and South Americans. Take the massive rent, have a nice European vacation and still have enough cash leftover to buy the Argos
I don’t want “soccer guy” anywhere near my home.
People you will never see again, from another continent, drinking every day in your home, feeling good after every loss. What could go wrong?

The Toronto Argonauts are the Rodney Dangerfield of the sporting world. The most successful and yet the most disrespected team in sports history. Name another. You can't.

One thing we should note, this was an absolute request by MLSE. The schedule would not be drawn up yet, so you know MLSE has told the league the home games they want to be played on the road. A total cash grab.

They could give two craps about their team success, their players, and their fans. To be okay with and wish to play 6 home games out of 18. If they then sell the team after cashing in on those games as has been speculated...they deserve all of the karma that's coming to them.

Why should the CFL and the other teams accommodate MLSE? The CFL should have something to say about the type of ownership they want in their league. Owners that have little regard for their teams and growing the game should not be accommodated like this.

Riders and Ticats, respectively so not only does this place us at a competitive disadvantage it benefits those teams at the expense of the other in the league who do not get an extra home game.

In lieu of finding a neutral location, such as Guelph, they could of at least have gone to Hamilton, which is fairly accessible for season ticket holders.

Come on Pinball, this is is a definite FU to Argos fans who would have benefited from BMO upgrades without the indignity of seeing there team get hosed, and to the City of Toronto who are already on the hook for millions of dollars for security costs.
Nothing to do with Pinball.
Save your outrage for the politicians that thought hosting World Cup games was a prudent use of $300M+ of taxpayers money, stupidity at its finest.

This is correct, all MLSE decisions are related to potential revenue.
This is only the beginning of Roger’s ownership, the Argos will be treated as an after thought (at best) within the MLSE empire.

What's the league gonna do? Suspend Rogers' ownership of the Argos?

Tell them the schedule is the leagues domain. Toronto plays Hamilton, Ottawa and Montreal as away games and a neutral site touchdowngame. Want Argos to play 8 home games at BMO IN August, September and October.

The league is in no position to throw its weight around with Rogers. Its objective must be to keep Rogers in the tent, not push it out.
