By my count they are sitting 15 or 16 of 24 starters: Amos, Pickett, Mital, Priester, Kelly, Hendrix, Polk, Darkangelo, Nicastro, Kemp/Bland, Hunter, Shepley, Coxie, Herslow, Kongbo, Holley. Projected starters who are dressing are Franklin, McFadden, Judge, Chatfield and Ungerer. That leaves these starting positions up for grabs: one OT, safety and RB. (Actually two OT spots but I'm assuming either Kemp or Bland will be at LT when the season opens.) One DT spot seems to be between Hendrix and Toia but I presume both will make the team.
Almost every position (other than QB ahem) has uncertain backups.
I think Gauthier, John, McKenzie and Shand are likely to make the team, but tomorrow's game could make or break their chances.
Lots to be settled on the o-line -- who are the two starting tackles, and who are the two backups who will dress (I'm betting Vandal and Coakes to start the year, with Dankwah on IR). Bosse is likely on the bubble but might be kept if Dankwah's gonna be out long term. Olaniran might make it. Vreugdenhil seems to have disappeared off the roster.
I see Vreugdenhil listed Paul.

I seehim on the Argo app but not on the depth chart or the inactive list the team sent out.

As far as the roster for the 2nd ex. game: at RB - did I miss news on draft pick I. Smith? - is he injured or gone? Liked the looks of Hicks last game and always liked Logan as a small back who could run between the tackles, but rather see a big power back as the main guy and supplemented by a smaller scat back type. Mombo unlikely to make game roster IMO - because of his passport plus later draft pick status.
I assume Isaiah Smith is injured (apparently there’s no access to that information), otherwise I would say at this point he’s the only lock to make the roster at RB. He’s a Pinball guy drafted very high, very versatile, he’s in.
I’m thinking they’ll go with 3 RB on the active roster like they did so successfully in 2024 with Carey, McMahon and Adedoboye. Gives you tons of options. So that leaves 2 more spots after Smith and I think it may come down to the game in Guelph to decide.
Logan’s obviously got the inside track but I don’t think he’s a lock, nobody expected Brown to get cut so early either. The power back Jones isn’t playing tonight, but a big game from any one of Mitchell, Hicks or even Mombo could play their way onto the team.

IF Smith is a lock to make the team there is no way Mombo makes it as well - he could rush for 250 yards this coming ex. game and it wouldn't matter and be excused somehow - just not in current GOB DNA to carry and play 2 Canadian RBs. I like the idea of 3 backs with all being used though - maybe Smith, plus Logan & Hicks - like the success they had with 3 in 2024, and Carey well knows this.

14-14 at the half. The Argos have one offensive and one defensive TD.
Hard to say much about the offence. Arbuckle didn't do much in the first quarter. I was surprized they didn't run more running plays into the wind. Hicks looked a bit elusive, Logan looked good at the end of the second quarter. Horn once again looked okay. The offensive line play wasn't great.
The defence looked okay. Shand stood out, and a couple of others looked okay on the defensive line. I think the season will go as the defensive line play goes.
On to the second half.

Aaron Casey had a great open field tackle to force a 3rd Down. I really think he will emerge as a key player on D this season. Really hoping they find a spot for Slywka.

Hicks had a nice TD run. Tough to imagine that he won't be the starting RB.
Argos ended up losing this game 20-14. "Final" cuts are tomorrow but I suspect we will see many roster moves over the next two weeks.

I agree, Casey is a very good player!

I’m expecting some surprises when the cuts are announced.
The D-Line looks to be much improved from last season which will help the secondary, linebacking group is strong.
Above all else Chad Kelly’s health will determine how far this team goes this season as there is a huge drop off in talent from him to the rest of the group.

Neither of the QB's who played yesterday acquitted themselves particularly well, but that wasn't their fault as pass protection was poor, especially for Horn and Guercio. I thought both Hicks and Logan showed something at RB so we'll see if they find space for the both of them. I don't see team just carrying 1 US RB on the roster.
