Did Davis & Milt really say that they would sit Kelly on the half time show? Is that nonsense scripted for drama?
Their comments were almost as stupid as the Straight Fire segment.
A sports panel in Canada showcasing local Canadian talent and actually doing so with energy? The horror!

Can we talk about the Argos defence a little? No defence will ever be perfect and this one isn't, but they have been playing superb football for the past 6 weeks now and seem to be getting stronger and stronger, despite some key injuries. Defensive coordinator Greg Quick has shown an ability to make necessary adjustments as can be seen with how well they defended Tre Ford the past two games against Hamilton. They're getting pressure with their front 4 and throwing in the odd blitz here and there. The DBs are playing well, also. Let's give some kudos to Quick and the defence as we haven't been talking nearly enough about their improved play.
I was admittedly critical of DC Quick and the D earlier this season but they have stepped up big time and are playing quite well.

No. What Milt seemed to be trying to say was that Miller needs to drum into Kelly's head that he can't keep throwing foolish interceptions if they want to beat teams better than Hamilton. He seemed to be using the phrase "sit him down" as in "sit him down for a blunt talk." Both Sanchez and Stegall clarified at the end of the segment (which was not exactly dripping with clarity of thought) that they were NOT suggesting he should be benched.

Showing it is good. The "straight fire" part of it is a bit over the top.

I stand by my comment, content fine but the stupid and obnoxious “you got mossed” presentation is over the top.

Whatever the reason is for the interceptions it does need to be cleaned up big time.

Thanks for clarifying that for me Paul, I appreciate it.

He responded to the interception by leading two TD drives to end the half, including a drive that started at his own 5. I'm not sure what they were trying to get at.
Kelly defies modern-day expectations in the CFL. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, throwing interceptions wasn't the faux pas that it is today. Kelly's TD:INT ratio this year isn't unlike Matt Dunigan's during his career. Kelly is a throwback to the high risk, high reward CFL QBs that we liked back then.
Except for Condredge Holloway who seemed ahead of his time with respect to TD:INT ratios.
Heck, I think Doug Flutie threw 23 or 24 interceptions in that 1997 season.

Run and shoot offence is less risky ss far as throwing picks go. Picks are down in general because most teams dink and dunk in a west coast ball control style offence. Kelly is a throw back and loves to push it down field.
Even Davis Alexander benefits from all the receiver screens he throws, not to mention their running game. It makes covering the deep ones more difficult when you have to play closer to the line.
