Paul LaPolice was named HC of the Men's National team. This is a great hire. LaPo is a very innovative Coach who should be able to lead the team to a 🏅.

Flag football is a different game than tackle. Not saying the pro players couldn't adapt, but there are flag football lifers than know all the ins and outs of the game. I know a lot of former Usport players that play in the Touch football Ontario tournaments, and don't dominate, some that even played in the CFL. They are just ordinary. Touch is closer to flag than tackle is.

I wouldn't think Antony Auclair would be very fast, having played TE.
I also don’t think Michael O’Connor is athletic enough. You need more of a Tre Ford type or aging myself Chris Flynn

It would be great if Auclair came back and played a season in the CFL maybe with his brother. I believe he is currently a coach at Laval.
Don't really know, but given the home towns of a lot of these guys, they might have went heavy with real experienced flag football players (and I think Montreal has a big flag league of serious ball, with some ex-U Sports players including QBs - stats kept, etc); and this might be the smart thing to do, to build a team at first with guys who really know and understand flag football. And a quick & shifty QB can be so important in that football (at least it was when i played touch), so there have been many mobile QBs with very good passing arms out of U Sports ball lately who might prove more effective than O'Connor (who is more like an Elgersma IMO)
