Argos have confirmed the release.
Re: 2026 In Season Transactions
Is there some logic to the release of the OL players, because if there is ---I'm missing it

Re: 2026 In Season Transactions
The depth chart is out. Shepley is back in, with Piazza and O'Neil backing up the o-line.
I hate losing depth at o-line. Dankwah was always a longterm project in my mind, and maybe he's viewed as having hit his development ceiling. But who knows? Surely he will surface somewhere else, if for no reason other than his size and passport.

I would like to see more depth as well but I am guessing that they see both Piazza and O'Neil as upgrades over Coakes and Dankwah.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2026 11:50 am The depth chart is out. Shepley is back in, with Piazza and O'Neil backing up the o-line.

It does to the current coaching staff and they get to say.
A later round draft pick, cut by another team, and an undrafted guy - and both rookies - beat out more experienced, higher rated draft prospects. Still, I don't get why Dankwah , for one, could not have been kept around on the PR (CFL teams load these with their favored American players) or stashed on the IR ?

Re: 2026 In Season Transactions
For all we know Danwah could have refused a PR spot if he was offered it. Maybe the staff didn't feel he was valuable enough to stash on IR?OV Argo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2026 2:11 pm
