Thanks Ravi. I stand corrected.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 11:06 amCalgary didn't challenge anything last night.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 10:57 am But didn’t Calgary also have a challenge? I remember seeing a big box that says Replay Challenge or something like that on the board, and I think it was up there twice without a replay being shown. Also, even if it's not obvious what's being challenged, the replay centre is looking at something, so there's no good reason fans can't see it as well. As we always used to.

What happened on the Coxie fumble just before Greene's Pick 6? Dickinson wanted to challenge, then there was a whistle, then the Argos quickly ran a play. Dickinson appeared pissed off...which he does most of the time.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 11:06 amCalgary didn't challenge anything last night.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 10:57 am But didn’t Calgary also have a challenge? Apparently the all you can eat section was a big sham. 11 nachos per serving. 2 items per trip. Long lineups preventing trips being made. Not to offend for those who bought a ticket but I can't imagine an all you can eat at a stadium. I gave up drinking pop too so maybe its a me problem.

Game day experience was certainly improved. I loved the new lighting effects. Much brighter individually addressible stadium lights make some cool stunts possible. That 'Storm Surge' - or was it 'Storm Warning'? - bit where the lights are flashing like lightning and Jason is leading a Norwegian Viking "Row!" routine in the south end was terrific and I hope that's a permanent addition.

you folks have covered, quite well, most everything about the game experience last nite...felt so good to be back at BMO. One thing nobody commented on was the Visitors bench moved to the east side, maybe this group just does not care about that change?
Does that change mean there will be loads of Ticat fans sitting on the east side on Aug 22nd?
instead of their usual fave spot of the past years, at the SW corner where the visitors enter+exit.
also good to see some fans in the east-side upper-deck seats. And yes the lighting shows were kind of fun.
Our Defence is finally coming around from the giving-up-7-TDs level of igliness, to what we saw last nite, to me the key is pressure and having a D-line that can beat a good O-line and get some sacks, Argos were not doing that earlier but lots of QB pressure last nite really was a diff-maker.

I had a great time at the game last night. Great to finally be back in my seat at BMO.
Glad to see the defence and ST's win a game. Offence put up yards, but turnovers prevented this game from being a blowout.
Not too worried about the picks. I will take some picks as a trade off for the amount of big plays we get on offence. Kelly has 13 picks now, but 8 were in 2 games and they were both victories, so I will let the haters at 3Down keep making issues of it. On the pick six by Greene, they shouldn't have even been in a position where they had to run that play. The blocking down field call on Ungerer was a pathetic call, and the result was them being in 2nd and long near mid field, instead of first down at the 30.
Another bad challenge from coach Miller last night. Not sure if he is making these challenges on his own, or if someone is telling him to, but it has to stop.
Argos defence could have had 4 more picks last night, Amos and Franklin dropped the most obvious ones, but Bolden and Caesar also could have had picks that hit both in their hands. Just nice to finally see some close coverage in the secondary.
About that close coverage....I think the pass rush has a lot to do with it. Lemon with a sack and key holding call against him. What the hell were they thinking when they cut Hendrix a couple of weeks ago? What a difference these 2 guys make.
Great response from Lidster after a tough start last night. I love a kicker with a live leg. My only critique on him, is that I don't think he gets enough height on his kickoffs. Something to work on.
And Burnip killing it. He better not be replaced when Haggerty is ready. Haggerty just isn't consistent enough in my books.
If the D and kicking game can keep playing as they did last night, this team will be tough to beat.

I said the same thing to my son regarding Hendrix last night, the Argos were criticized by some when they signed Lemon but he has been excellent since returning to the Argos so I guess the naysayers were wrong on that front!AngeloV wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 4:35 pm I had a great time at the game last night. Bolden is a player, great move signing him when he was released by Montreal.
A good D-Line makes a huge difference with the effectiveness of the defensive secondary.
The Chad does need to clean up the interceptions but no questioning his courage and arm talent, Coxie and Polk have been really good!
Both Lidster and especially Burnip have definitely upgraded the kicking game for sure.
Big win!!!

I am 99% sure that Dickenson was told by the officials that forward progress was stopped before any fumble and I believe that was the correct call. Coxie was being driven back when the "fumble" happened.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 11:56 amWhat happened on the Coxie fumble just before Greene's Pick 6? It was all moot anyway - and likely worked out better for Calgary - as the ridiculous call on Ungerer happened a play or two later which, ultimately, led to the pick six on that same possession.

That was a fumble - that they got away with - but it worked out for the Stumps just after.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2026 6:08 pmI am 99% sure that Dickenson was told by the officials that forward progress was stopped before any fumble and I believe that was the correct call. It was great to see a close, entertaining game where the Double Blue were able to prevail in front of the home fans for the first time in what seems forever. As others have already mentioned, that challenge by coach Miller was a head scratcher. Kelly reminds me of Brett Favre; a gunslinger mentality with a great arm who takes chances and sometimes gets burned. I did enjoy the light show, even though I generally don't care for such things. To me, it's for the non-football fan, to keep them "entertained". I hate to be a broken record, but to have somebody yelling into a microphone while blasting music at the same time is nonsensical and idiotic. Considering the fact the Argos turned the ball over 5 times, we were fortunate to come away with the W. Monster game by Coxie; he's arguably the best in the league in gaining yards after the catch. I was sitting near the top of the upperdeck on the west side, parallel with the south endzone. I found myself looking at the video board on the north west part of the stadium (which looked bigger than other ones) or the display on the facade of the east upperdeck to see the time clock, down and distance, etc.
