Labour Day Classic - September 7, 2026 - Argos @ Tiger-Cats
A massive game!
Keys to the game for the Argos:
1. Overcome the pixie dust the Ticats seem to get in this game.
2. Find a reason to hate the Ticats as much as they seem to hate the Argos.
I'm going to the game. Who else?

Argos had the "Pixie Dust" last year. Tre Ford has been exposed & Harrison Frost is mediocre. Argos bounce back on the road. Hamilton is toast.

There's definitely a lot of pixie dust in Hamilton, but not the kind you guys are talking about.

This game is always up for grabs regardless of records and personnel. Hamilton gets sky high for this one, players and fans alike. And they sustain that emotion far beyond a normal game, even a championship game. Thats the pixie dust. The Argos need to always find a way to match that energy. Not easy to do. Hopefully for the 2026 edition, I would suggest players channel whatever frustrations this season has brought them, and take it out on the Tiger-Cats.
I have never been to a LDC. It is on my bucket list.

The Ticats offence without Bovine throwing lots of passes is very ordinary to mediocre or useless; this Rountree guy they keep trotting out at RB is one of the worst everydown backs I have seen in the league in some time - guess Scotty likes his birth certificate though; and I hope they keep throwing lots of passes Kenny superstar Lawler's way - coming down with under 50% of the balls directed his way is just brutally bad as that stat gets. Maybe if they game plan and play call for Ford to run lots and the Argos can't spy him, they can put up some points, but otherwise a Kelly led passing offence should be able to out-score them easily IMO.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2026 1:31 pm Argos had the "Pixie Dust" last year. The same thing is true of this post. Such irony!AngeloV wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2026 5:54 pmI seem to have e read this post once or twice before.OV Argo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2026 5:20 pmThe Ticats offence without Bovine throwing lots of passes is very ordinary to mediocre or useless; this Rountree guy they keep trotting out at RB is one of the worst everydown backs I have seen in the league in some time - guess Scotty likes his birth certificate though; and I hope they keep throwing lots of passes Kenny superstar Lawler's way - coming down with under 50% of the balls directed his way is just brutally bad as that stat gets. A CFL stats junkie could maybe do some research - the last 20 years or so - and find any CFL season long starting RB who has an average/ carry as weak as 4.1; OR - a starting, oft targeted receiver who has only caught 50% of the passes thrown his way. But maybe the stats lie or are meaningless? OR - maybe it's all Tre Ford's fault ?
Re: Labour Day Classic - September 7, 2026 - Argos @ Tiger-Cats
To be fair to Lawler, he was far more effective with Bo Levi Mitchell at QB than with anyone else playing that position in Hamilton.OV Argo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2026 10:18 pmThe ironing is delicious.
