Probably because the player through his agent calls the NFL and arranges DEC/JAN workouts. Warren Moon is the exception, not the rule.

And here I was thinking sharp/smart football scouts actually watch other football/players to determine who has the talent/skills to draft or sign and give a real try-out to; but the NFL super sleuth scouts leave that all up to the agents I guess, at least with regards to CFL talent.
The winter workout circuit for interested CFL players has been a thing for decades. The NFL doesn't need to waste time on scouting when players come directly to them.

I had to research this. His MLB career spanned from 1958-1971. His career batting stats were 6HR 65RBI & he won 145 games with 119 loses with 53 Saves. He went 21-7 for Minnesota on a team that lost in the World Series. He passed away in 2021. They don't make nicknames like that anymore. Gotta ask, how did you know this was Janarion's uncle?
Janarion mentioned it in an interview early in his career when asked about famous relatives . I had known about Mudcat previously from watching that opening day game as it was a big thing for Canada to get a MLB team back then. To this day I have a soft spot in my heart for the Expos and remember them well. Some of baseballs best players came up through the Montreal system and then left for the money.

I wasn't as aware of Mudcat's previous experience and have to say be it the division they played in or whatever other reason the Minnesota Twins were involved in a lot of big World Series games over the years and had a lot of great players. We we were able to tune in the radio broadcast occasionally and learned some of the names.

Alas we await an Expos return while we still have the Jays to cheer for as Canada's team.

According to CFL.CA transactions, DE Ali Fayad has been transfered to the single injury list, while OT Brandon Kemp has been added to the Active Roster. gil's take on this move is this: Kemp, who is coming off the 6 game IR, will most likely start Friday at LT giving Rookie OT Desmomd Bland, who has been battling a hip ailment, a much needed game off.

Update...despite Kemp being added to the Active Roster, he has been ruled out...so I am confused.
