AngeloV, in July, I need to put together a post where I order the teams based on the number of Canadians they started, and the number of Canadians starting in traditionally non Canadian positions. I will compare it to the current standings to see how much Canadian talent matters.
Why wait? Edmonton started 11 and were soundly beaten.
Nope - they started 10, as normal starting OT Boyko was a GTD scratch and replaced by a rookie import.

Ottawa went with the 7 only plan and were soundly beaten by a Riders team that started 3 Canadian receivers, and ended up with a Canadian (Bertrand-Hudon) playing tailback though.
Still starred more than anyone else, including QB and 3 receivers, and their offence was a no show.

And just to be clear, I am happier than hell to see Canadian QB and 3 receivers starting. I just don’t subscribe to your go to anti Canadian coach bias. If they are good enough, they will find a way to start, and be paid better than the Americans starting with them. Hell, even some back ups make more than the Americans that are starting.

Ticats lost because they gave up 14 cheap points either side of halftime. Argos gave up a cheap TD right before the half. Those points are killers.

Lots of commentators calling for them to be a very good team this year though?

I agree with u though - them and the Stumps are destined for the basements again; HC'd by limited, myopic dullards; 7 only need apply / lack of respect for Canadian talent teams. Hey, somebody's gotta lose - may as well be those 2 until somebody in the org. gets it and makes real changes.
Oh look, you repeated your same old, same old post. How charming.

Please !!! - no more "conspiracy" theories.

This is just not the place to be interested in or positive about Canadian talent getting a shot to play in the Canadian Football League.

No, sane people can cheer for Canadians while acknowledging that not every American starting ahead of them is overrated or just their because of coach bias

It was a fun time down at the Hamilton stadium last night, 24,500 in attendance to see a pretty interesting and entertaining game.
The Tiger Cats certainly do a lot of things right and are very well connected with the Hamilton community and it certainly shows at their home games.

It always starts from the top down. Bob Young is passionate and cares about the Tiger-Cats and their place in Hamilton. He delegates and puts people in place who share his passion and vision. It just hasn't translated into championships for whatever reason.

I left during the third quarter because of the hour drive home. My loss.
