He better be right or his social media team* will look pretty dumb.

For sure. As AngeloV has pointed out though, the Argos' receivers have played with and had success with both QBs so I doubt this will cause a QB controversy that would hurt the team.
IF....and I mean IF Arbuckle is replaced by Kelly, Arbuckle will react like the true professional that he is. There will be no sulking or dissension amongst the ranks. That will play a huge role in how the teams responds if that move is in fact made.

If Kelly steps back in as No. 1 QB, how he performs will largely dictate how people react. If Argos win, how he plays won't matter much (although there will be some chatter anyway). If he plays as well as Arbuckle has and the Argos lose, there will be more chatter. If he doesn't play as well as Arbuckle has and the Argos lose, there will be all kinds of chatter. It's a lot of pressure to put on a guy who hasn't played in 10 months (and took a bit of time to get into the swing of things last year when he returned). As much as many folks believe Kelly's going right back in as No. 1, I don't think it's a 100% slam dunk at this point. Gonna be interesting to see how Dinwiddie et al handle this.

Yes, one thing they got going for them during this situation is Arbuckle really is a true pro. Thank goodness for that. I think they start Kelly against Edmonton rather than say Montreal the following week. If he struggles, then only give him the quarter. There’s a good chance the game isn’t lost and winning the game should still be very attainable.

My guess is that Arbuckle starts and there's a plan to give Kelly some playing time during the game. No matter what shape he's in, he won't be in close to mid-season form. Sitting the guy who has been the league's best QB for the past month has considerable potential to blow up in their faces.

We know that all things being equal Kelly is the better quarterback, but the team has momentum right now being led by Arbuckle. It doesn’t make sense to mess with that right now. If Arbuckle falters, then go to Kelly. I don’t really like the timing of Kelly’s post, with its seeming assertion that he will be starting the next game. The team just won its biggest game of the year. Why distract from that? Did the team know he was going to post it?

To be fair, I don't think Kelly is asserting that he will be starting on September 13th: I think his assertion is that he is completely available to play.

This and the fact that if Kelly's post hasn't been deleted yet, it is most likely no issue.

As much as I love Chad I agree we should stick with Arby’s hot hand, at least to start. It makes sense to bring Kelly along slowly. We should install a couple of new packages to take advantage of his mobility advantage over Arby. RPOs and rollouts and stuff. Assuming of course that his mobility is close to what it was before. (And if it isn’t then he shouldn’t be returning yet) Start putting Chad in for a series here and a series there and see what happens.
