There must be some sort of connection with the player with someone in Argos personnel. I have a feeling that we will have Gill thanking the player for his contributions to the team at some point soon.
I'm all over it primetime! But as a comic in all seriousness, you are being generous saying his background is modest....18 games played over 5 season....15 Receptions...not sure what they see in this undersized player from "New" Mexico?

He must have some traits they like. Stick him on the practice roster and see what happens.

I thought Jake Herslow came to the Argos with not a significant NCAA resume? He's turned out to be a pretty decent find.

Ben Grant thinks they may be looking at him as a special teams player.

With Ulm on IR, the Argos have no NAT reserve receiver. I'm guessing Buckley is here as an emergency backup until a NAT can be found somewhere. Mayala is available and IMO is worth bringing in.

Qwan'tez Stiggers had no college experience due to the passing of the his father. The Argos found him in the Fan Controlled Football League.

He is now in the NFL.

What happened to Tristan Ready - he of the umpteen times better resume vs. this Buckley guy - thought he made the PR?

I noticed on a couple of teams' depth charts for the 1st week reg. season, them dressing just one back-up receiver? - in a mostly pass offence league; this along with the just one back-up O-lineman dressed routine. These are important 5 man starter position groups (I thought?)

CFL.CA transactions indicate that American born DB Theran Johnson has been deleted, thus becoming a FA. This could have been a corresponding move to make room for the Global Receiver that argolio is raving about.

Using one of the worst headlines I have ever seen, 3DN is reporting the Argos have signed American DB Dathan Hickey.

Yes, the absolute worst headline ever. Thanks 3 Down Nation.
