Dinwid in way over his head; the guy knows how to run a good CFL pass attack, so he might be an ideal OC / QB coach for a lot of teams; but he has no clue about the importance of a ground game mostly, and I doubt he knows much if anything about coaching or putting together a good defence. And as a HC he looks like a clown/baby on the sidelines often, and throwing players under the bus, in public, when losses are on him ? And why did he need to be GM - what is his big personnel know-how or experience ?

Sad to see what is happening in Ottawa - losing fans and it likely gets worse. The blame still falls with the owners though who make the hires to run their football team = typical clueless, same old, rich guy morons who know zip about the sport they are involved in. And they do next to nothing - that i see - to market or promote their football team here (same old game day perks for fans who are already going).
It’s called ego, Dinwiddie has a very high opinion of himself.

Is this a worse team than Super Season 88?

No, it's not. This team has been in most games; I believe the 1988 team was blown out more often.

The 1988 Argos outscored them 176-28 or something like that.

Even with Jake Maier at QB, much more was expected from this collection of players. What seemed like first rate free agents, Dinwiddie as a coach. Win the Grey Cup, no way. Improve upon 4-14, 100%. Show the league they're not doormats anymore, 110%. Instead 0-8, and out of it.

The wins don't necessarily matter anymore in 2026. Its about having, finding, and keeping the right players on the bus for 2027 including a QB you can build an offence around.

Please bring back Jeff Hunt. Ever since he resigned the Redblacks have been in the shithouse. That guy is a winner. Similar to Pinball. Whatever they do, they do well.
