I do feel sorry for the players and fans.
Not so much Ryan Dinwiddie, but the players and fans aren't responsible for him.
I feel the same, the Ottawa fans deserve much better.
Dinwiddie comes off like an arrogant jackass, no hesitation to blame others and throw them under the bus when he is the main problem.
His ego got the best of him, a large dose of humility is exactly what he needs.
The Dinwiddie reversal (if you want to call it that) is odd.
Between 2021 and 2024 he had the Argonauts playing at a pace that not many other Argo coaches could dream about. Furthermore, I felt ready to run through a brick wall at the end of the 2024 season with how he (seemingly) got the team through Kelly's injury and a Grey Cup victory the next week.
Then we hit 2025, and the mystery with Kelly's recovery and the team's struggles, thereafter. Maybe he just doesn't know how to adapt to losing after being a winner for his first 4 years as a head coach.

I really don't understand what's happened with Dinwiddie since last year. Did his ego become too big after all of the success from 2021-24? Also, being GM, head coach, and OC was always a ridiculous idea. I honestly don't like the head coach taking on another role, as the majority of CFL head coaches do, including Mike Miller.

Had Dinwiddie stayed in Toronto I have no doubt they would have a winning record. That being said I am willing to be patient with Coach Miller.

He didn't know how to handle adversity in the way that last year presented itself.

It was best to move on for both parties.

Many of the players seemed turned off by Dinwiddie by the end of last season, as I think we can conclude from the CFLPA report cards.

I know that, but the question is why (which may be rhetorical since we may never find out).

I think that Dinwiddie's public comments and threats after some losses is what did it.

0-11
That matches the 1981 Argos. Hopefully they don't do to the Argos what the Argos did to Calgary in 1981.
We play Ottawa two more times this year. I pray that we won't be the team they get their first win against. They also play Hamilton twice more. I'll say they end up at 2 &16.

I don't think there's much doubt about that.
